Bruising occurs when pin pricks enter into a shoulder and a neck. Lucy stretches herself and notices her shoulder pads have fallen at an angle, readjusting them she reassures herself that the slight specks of dust she sees on a distant windowsill are too minute for her guest to notice. She fidgets restlessly to resist the urge to wipe the surface with a cloth. She finally gives in, only to begin cleaning every dust ridden surface in her house.
